My Song in the Night

MY SONG IN THE NIGHT
Southern Folk Hymn
arr. Paul J. Christiansen

O Jesus my Savior, my song in the night,
Come to us with Thy tender love,
my soul’s delight.
Unto Thee, O Lord, in affliction I call,
My comfort by day, and my song in the night.

O why should I wander, an alien from Thee,
Or cry in the desert Thy face to see?
My comfort and joy, my soul’s delight,
O Jesus my Savior, my song in the night.

My song in the night, my song in the night,
in the night, in the night, in the night.

O Jesus my Savior, my song in the night.
Come to us with Thy tender love,
my soul’s delight.
My comfort and joy, my soul’s delight,
O Jesus my Savior, my song in the night.

My song my song in the night,
in the night, my song
My comfort and joy, my soul’s delight.
O Jesus my savior, my song in the night,
in the night. My song in the night.

  1. I am so thrilled to find these lyrics--I sang this song several years ago in a community chorale and it really blessed me. Now if I could only find the sheet music for vocal performance! Thanks for posting these. :-)

  3. I have a recorded version from the MO TAB choir singing "My Song in the Night". It is a slighly different arrangement from the original, but it is amazingly beautiful! If anyone would like it, I would be happy to share it. Just Post a response!

  9. Remember this- a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.
